January's full moon got it's name from howling wolves, which may stem from the Anglo-Saxon lunar calendar. To some it's known as the Moon After Yule. The sun sign Capricorn: December 22 – January 20, this rules most of January, indicating a full moon in Cancer. After January 20, the sun sign moves to Aquarius and the full moon will be in Leo.
