The last Full Moon of the winter season in March is the Worm Moon because of the earthworms that come out at the end of winter. Is is also known as the Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Sap Moon, and Sugar Moon. The Old English/Anglo-Saxon name is Lenten Moon. Sun sign in Pisces, (February 20 – March 20), is the ruling sun sign for most of the month, so a full moon is in Virgo. After March 20th, the sun in Aries creates a full moon in Libra.
